Confidence, collaboration and communication - the human skills that set us apart
The session will run in three interactive phases, each combining short insights from research with a practical activity that brings the ideas to life.
-
Communication – the power of listening
We’ll open with a short listening exercise in pairs to demonstrate how easily we slip into distraction and how strong connection transforms the energy in a room. This immediately builds trust and engagement. -
Confidence – the impact of positive feedback
Participants will return to their partner and share one positive observation about them. This simple exercise, supported by evidence on appreciation and self-efficacy, boosts confidence and creates a more open atmosphere. -
Collaboration – managing stress and its contagion
Using research on managing your personal stress and on how stress spreads through teams, I’ll show how our reactions affect those around us. We’ll explore quick ways to defuse stress and they’ll choose one or two stress points they want to tackle.
By the end of the session, participants will have takeaways and ideas to improve communication, build confidence and collaborate better (and more calmly) to whatever AI throws at us next!
